YES, You can! A workshop for women who want to step up their game

YES, You Can! A workshop for women who want to step up their game

October 2, 9, 23 and 30

by Jessica J.J. Lutz in cooperation with Brussels for Her #acityforher

You are professional and persistent, diligent and driven, but now you feel blocked. Would you like to overcome what holds you back, so you can feel free to go for your full potential with ease and joy?

As a woman who wants to move ahead, you have a lot of obstacles to overcome: gender bias against you, the home front that needs you, the glass ceiling, to name just a few. But often a woman’s biggest obstacle is her own mindset. Fear of failure, lack of confidence or self-esteem, self-doubt or self-sabotage…all the ways a woman holds herself back is what I call the inner glass ceiling.

Join this four-part workshop if you want to be a leader in every field of your life, while being true to the woman you are. Master the subconscious ‘programs’ that pull you down, and shed the thought patterns that keep you there.

You will learn how to:

-stop feeling fragile, insecure, or inadequate

-naturally feel respected and appreciated

-transform that which overwhelms you into positive energy

-feel great in your body

-rally support for your feminine qualities

Session 1: The little-known science behind strong and secure self-esteem for women.

Self-esteem refers to how positively you regard yourself, how much you love yourself. A whole body of research shows that women, more than men, struggle with lack of self-esteem. As a result they often hold themselves back. Unnecessarily so, as you will find during this workshop. In an interactive and fun way, you will learn why self-esteem is different for women and men, and how to boost yours.

Session 2: Not just surviving, but thriving as a woman in a man’s world

Building on the previous session, we will dive deep into what sets women and men apart, and what pulls us together. As women we are wired for communication, but we could make a lot more of our extraordinary skill-set. During this session you will learn what you are communicating on a subconscious level, and how to be a master at transmitting exactly what you want.

Session 3: What makes us tick and what makes us sick

Women get stressed by different things than men, and stress affects our bodies in different ways. Find out how your mind and body interact, learn what to watch out for, and what you can do to support both your mind and body in staying healthy, fit and slim.

Session 4: The greater good

Women’s empowerment is the flavour of the day, but despite goodwill and opportunities, few women actually get to the high-ranking jobs promised. By now you will know why this is the case. We will use this session to co-create new rules and approaches that will show you how women can step up their game in an authentic and sustainable way.

About Jessica

Feminine traits like empathy, self-sacrifice and always going the extra mile can severely undermine you. Jessica J.J. Lutz experienced this first-hand when she poured her heart and soul into reporting the news from Turkey and its neighbours for more than two decades. Never saying no to the eternal deadlines, and her deep involvement with the victims of so many conflicts and disasters eventually took their toll.

Searching for ways to heal and bring back the joy in her life she returned to her old hobby: the study of the subconscious, which determines 90% of our behaviour. After a detour into writing novels, she developed herself as mind-body therapist. In 2009, she left journalism behind. Still in Istanbul, she started helping people shed the – sometimes traumatic – baggage of their past.

The sixth sense she developed in a region where people are often unable to speak their mind is of great value also in her practice in Brussels, where she has lived since 2015. She works as a coach and counsellor with professional women who want to move ahead but feel held back. She helps them confidently take the lead in their life, have fun and stand in their power while remaining true to themselves.

Working for print, radio and television has taught her to make information understandable for wider audiences, a skill she uses during her workshops, panel debates, and public speaking.

Jessica is very sensitive to the needs of her audience, which makes her an excellent lecturer. We at Koç University truly appreciate her candor and practical life experience, and found the seminar very helpful for all of our potential career paths.

Patricia Tompkins, Professional Development Chair, Koç University, Istanbul

Jessica Lutz has the knack of recognising subtle thought and behaviour patterns. She can translate the subliminally felt need for change into a clear and convincing argument, and her analysis is rational, intuitive and deeper than usual. She knows like no other the inclination of women to make themselves small, without being aware of it. Jessica helps women to let go of what keeps them small.

Lily Sprangers, Director, Turkey Institute, The Hague

During the two-day program Jessica provided an excellent exchange of views, as well as an interesting confrontation with different realities. [We] highly recommend Jessica as a speaker.
