Feminine traits like empathy, self-sacrifice and always going the extra mile can severely undermine you. Jessica J.J. Lutz experienced this first-hand when she poured her heart and soul into reporting the news from Turkey and its neighbours for more than two decades. Never saying no to the eternal deadlines, and her deep involvement with the victims of so many conflicts and disasters eventually took their toll.
Searching for ways to heal and bring back the joy in her life she returned to her old hobby: the study of the subconscious, which determines 90% of our behaviour. After a detour into writing novels, she developed herself as mind-body therapist. In 2009, she left journalism behind. Still in Istanbul, she started helping people shed the – sometimes traumatic – baggage of their past.
The sixth sense she developed in a region where people are often unable to speak their mind is of great value also in her practice in Brussels, where she has lived since 2015. She works as a coach and counsellor with professional women who want to move ahead but feel held back. She helps them confidently take the lead in their life, have fun and stand in their power while remaining true to themselves.
Working for print, radio and television has taught her to make information understandable for wider audiences, a skill she uses during her workshops, panel debates, and public speaking.
Jessica is very sensitive to the needs of her audience, which makes her an excellent lecturer. We at Koç University truly appreciate her candor and practical life experience, and found the seminar very helpful for all of our potential career paths.

Jessica Lutz has the knack of recognising subtle thought and behaviour patterns. She can translate the subliminally felt need for change into a clear and convincing argument, and her analysis is rational, intuitive and deeper than usual. She knows like no other the inclination of women to make themselves small, without being aware of it. Jessica helps women to let go of what keeps them small.
Lily Sprangers, Director, Turkey Institute, The Hague
During the two-day program Jessica provided an excellent exchange of views, as well as an interesting confrontation with different realities. [We] highly recommend Jessica as a speaker.
Edward Heukels, Jan Amos Society for senior corporate leaders, The Netherlands
